Queizuar S.L. is an SME founded in 1997, which produces traditional cheeses protected by Protected Designation of Origin (PDO). The company currently processes 65,000 liters of milk per day and produces two types of PDO cheese: “Arzúa-Ulloa” and “Queixo Tetilla”. Queizuar holds two international patents related to the valorization of cheese whey, obtained through the R&D&I that the company has developed over the last 13 years, with more than 8 individual and collaborative R&D projects, with regional, state, and European funding.

Currently, agri-food (cheese production).
In the medium term, biotechnology-bioenergy (technology to transform cheese whey lactose into ethanol) and biotechnology-health (technology to transform serum proteins into functional peptides).
Business lines:
Production of PDO cheeses (currently).
Production of dairy products derived from whey: cream and whey concentrate (currently), and serum proteins, peptides and bioethanol (in the near future).
