Phycosem Marine Agronomy is a spin-off of the University of A Coruña created to transfer to society the accumulated experience of the research group in Coastal Biology (BioCost) in the marine agronomy sector, with the idea of contributing to the promotion and development of this new economic activity, very much in line with the paradigms of sustainability and circular economy.

Phycosem Marine Agronomy, is a small company that, for this reason, at the moment integrates all business areas, from the development and elaboration of its products to their commercialization, and all that this entails, such as attracting economic resources, human resources management, etc.
Business lines:
Our company has three main lines of business, all of them aimed at the development of marine agronomy (cultivation of marine macroalgae). The first and most important is the production of seeds/inocula of different species of macroalgae for sale to the client, the second is a consultancy in the design and management of cultivation facilities to optimize their production, both at sea and on land, and the third is the development, on-demand or as our own challenge, of cultivation techniques for new species of marine macroalgae.
