Sectors

CETIM has extensive experience in industrial sectors such as Food (for example obtaining proteins from novel sources, identification of bioactive peptides), Environment (such as bioremediation, biological degradation of microplastics or emerging pollutants), Circular Economy (selective recovery of valuable metals from primary currents and secondary low grade, revaluation of streams and by-products for use in alternative sectors), or Materials (pre-treatment and treatment for the production of materials, study of the antimicrobial capacity of materials).
